Are there any chemicals in the beauty & bath products?

Our handmade beauty & bath products are free of any chemicals, which will leave your skin feeling healthier and smoother.

My product differs slightly from the image on the website, why?

Our products are all handmade so there might be a slight difference in shape, colour and size from what is pictured. Some products may also settle and need to be remixed on occasion

Why should I choose to use natural skincare?

The skin is the largest organ and absorbs almost everything you put on it, so using natural skincare products is very important. Not only are our natural skincare products good for your skin, but it is affordable as well.

What do you consider to be natural?

Every natural ingredient needs some sort of processing so that it can be used. We believe that everything that’s not man-made synthetic, that is found directly in nature or derived from nature’s herbs, fruits, or vegetables and is of great beneficial value to our body and skin.

How do I know what Ingredients a product contains?

We make sure that we list each and every ingredient that goes into our products. You can find the ingredient list for each product on its page.

I am not sure about a certain ingredient in a product, what do I do?

If you are unsure about a certain ingredient please email us on with any questions.

Are your products vegan friendly?

All of our products that do not contain honey are vegan friendly.

What type of containers do you use?

We use PET (recycled plastic containers)

How long does it take for my order to be made and delivered to me?

Once we have received our order it takes 5 days for it to be made and shipped. This time includes processing the order, making the order and getting it ready to ship. Once we have shipped your order you will be notified. Please note that the order process can be delayed with public holidays.

Also please note that Wholesale orders/Store orders or large orders have a different timeline. We will inform you of the timeline when placing such an order.

Heat Sensitive Products

Some of our products are heat sensitive. Because all of our products are formulated with natural oils, they are temperature sensitive. For best results, keep all Darling Jane products marked as heat sensitive at room temperature away from sunlight. If products soften, cooling in the refrigerator will restore them to their proper form.

Can I return my product if it arrives melted or melts while I’ve stored it?

Products with our heat sensitve warning are made with ingredients that allow the product to melt during the warmer months. During the Summer months, these products can get very warm in transit and may melt into liquid. We are not responsible if the warned items arrive melted, and in most cases you should be able to pop the products into the refrigerator and still be able to use them.

Where are you based?

Darling Jane is a Cape Town based beauty business, but we also operate nationally.

Where can I buy your products?

Darling Jane does not have a physical retail store. We are simply an online retailer. We do not allow any order collections from our office. We can also be found at certain markets, to see by which markets we will be, go to our Where to find us page.

Do you offer samples to try out before I buy?

Unfortunately we are not offering samples to try out before purchase at the moment, but we are working on introducing a test box that you can purchase in the near future.

Can you supply products/samples for events?

Apart from selling our luxurious products on our online store, we also offer hampers and samples for events, parties and weddings. If you are interested in this please contact us on

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes we do. If you are interested in purchasing a gift voucher, please visit the gift voucher product page. Currently Gift Vouchers can only be sent via email.

How do I log into my Store Account?

Navigate to Customer Service in our menu and click on my account. From there you can view/edit your details, view your orders and track any orders placed.

What shipping do you use?

We offer a door-to-door service. This means that the order is delivered to the address and not the person. We also have an option for registered post, but would recommend using our door-to-door courier service.

Where do you ship to?

We ship nationally within South Africa, excluding PO boxes, farms and rural areas. If you’re unsure if we cover your location, please contact us on

What are your shipping fees?

Our shipping rate is determined on your location. Please see our Shipping and Delivery Policy page for our shipping fees.

How is my estimated delivery calculated?

Products will be shipped as per the stated shipping times of the particular product ordered.

Are the parcels insured?

We offer insurance on all our deliveries at an extra cost. Should you be interested in this we will quote you on insurance for your order. Simply request this when placing your order or email us on

Is shipping included in the product price?

Our shipping is not included in the product price. You will see it billed separately on your invoice.

When do I pay for the shipping and delivery?

Your shipping and delivery costs are paid when you pay the invoice of your order.

I placed two separate orders, can I combine them to reduce shipping cost?

If you have placed two separate orders, we can combine the two orders to save you cost on shipping. Your order will then be shipped to you as per the item in your cart with the longest estimated delivery time. If you want to combine two orders, please email us on

How do I track my order?

Tracking your order is easy! Log into your store account and view the order that you placed. Above your order details will be a track button that will direct you to the order tracking page.

What is your return policy?

If you are unhappy with any of the products you buy from us, please notify us by using the return steps within 3 days of receiving your order. Our return steps can be found on our Return Policy page.

Where can my return be sent back to?

Please contact us for the Return Address.

I received the wrong item/ a defective item/ incomplete order/ incorrect order?

Please notify us of any incorrect/damaged/defective products within 3 days of receipt of the product(s). After validation of the defect/damage, Darling Jane will provide either a full or potential refund or a replacement of the product.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are offered in the original method of payment. Please note that shipping fees are not refundable and that there is a R50 re-stocking fee that is deducted from the refund if the return/exchange is due to your fault.

When will I get my refund?

Refunds take 1-5 working days to process and are issued after receiving the returned order.

I made a mistake when I ordered, how can I fix/modify this?

Please email us on within a day of placing the wrong order. Please provide us with all the order information in the email.

Can I cancel my order?

Cancellations requested after 3 working days may be refused, alternatively certain amounts may apply for cancellation at the various stages. These amounts can be found on our Terms and Conditions page.
